Lam Tsuen, covering 26 villages, has over 700 years’ history. The most significant thing in Lam Tsuen is the Wishing Tree that people would throw joss paper into the trees and make wishes. Every Chinese New Year, Lam Tsuen will conduct Hong Kong Well-wishing Festival, it also conducts Bun Festival every 10 years. Our group chose Lam Tsuen to investigate because of its unique culture, making wish. Our group members are interested in this culture, and we want to know more about the view of villages and visitors towards this culture through this project.
